PRP

LATEST TECHNOGOLY SKIN TREATMENT

The use of Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is not new; it has been recognized for its accelerated wound healing properties in such applications as surgery and sports injuries. The technology is now being used for cosmetic enhancement with outstanding results.

Movie stars now having this treatment done to utilize their bodies own healing potential, and to stimulate natural skin rejuvenation without the use of chemicals.

It seems PRP may have a thickening and tightening effect on the skin, giving you a youthful glow.

This is because the plasma portion of your blood we inject contains growth factors which then attract your stem cells that then go on to create new skin cells and collagen. PRP is a bio active stimulator, not a filler. It will increase collagen and thicken your skin to give a firmer, younger looking skin we all desire.

PRP TREATMENT IS IDEAL FOR:

  • Crepey Neck

  • Eye Area

  • Fine lines and wrinkles

  • Textural improvements

  • Dull dry skin

  • Back of hands

  • Full face rejuvenation

  • Decolletage

  • Other body areas

WHAT IS PLATENET RICH PLASMA (PRP)?

This latest technology in skin rejuvenation, uses your own cells derived from your blood, that are then reinjected into the skin to stimulate collagen and new skin cells.

WHERE DOES THE PRP COME FROM?

Your blood is rich in these red blood cells, white blood cells, and plasma. We only use the plasma portion of your blood which is rich in white blood cells and platelets. Then a special process is used to obtain the PRP. You only receive treatment with your own cells.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT?

A vibrant, fresh youthful skin and a reduction in fine lines and wrinkles; due to the new collagen formation. Your clinician can give you details on how effective this treatment will be for you, and how many treatments you may require.

WHAT DOES THE TREATMENT INVOLVE?

A small collection of blood is taken and processed to give us the PRP required for your treatment. This plasma is then injected into your skin in a relatively straight forward procedure, much like having other cosmetic injections. Results take around 2-3 weeks to see and a series of treatments is recommended. Your skin should still continue to improve with time following your treatment program.

OTHER THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW

Not all grades of wrinkling or skin laxity can be improved and may require a combination of treatments. Your doctor will advise you on this. Smoking and alcohol consumption shortens the life of the new cells.

For full precautions and contraindictions, and to find if PRP treatment is right for you, please speak to your doctor. Individual results may vary due to personal health and lifestyle variants.
