WHAT IS PLATENET RICH PLASMA (PRP)?
This latest technology in skin rejuvenation, uses your own cells derived from your blood, that are then reinjected into the skin to stimulate collagen and new skin cells.
WHERE DOES THE PRP COME FROM?
Your blood is rich in these red blood cells, white blood cells, and plasma. We only use the plasma portion of your blood which is rich in white blood cells and platelets. Then a special process is used to obtain the PRP. You only receive treatment with your own cells.

WHAT DOES THE TREATMENT INVOLVE?
A small collection of blood is taken and processed to give us the PRP required for your treatment. This plasma is then injected into your skin in a relatively straight forward procedure, much like having other cosmetic injections. Results take around 2-3 weeks to see and a series of treatments is recommended. Your skin should still continue to improve with time following your treatment program.

Not all grades of wrinkling or skin laxity can be improved and may require a combination of treatments. Your doctor will advise you on this. Smoking and alcohol consumption shortens the life of the new cells.
